As a team leader, you ensure that the furniture makers can do their work properly. Good means according to the (client) quality standards and within schedule and budget. You provide practical advice throughout the day and coach your team to process the interior elements correctly. You only really distinguish yourself if you can motivate your team to think about improvements to processes, quality and collaboration.

As a Furniture Making team leader, you are given the space to get the best out of yourself and the team. To help you make this challenge a success, we support you with professional education and training. You also work together with team leaders from other departments. Consider, for example, mechanical woodworking and spray painting. Together you ensure that our furniture makers can install the interiors on site.

To achieve the highest level of quality, collaboration is essential. Collaboration with your team, but also other team leaders in the department. As a Furniture Making team leader, you are responsible for managing one of our project teams in Furniture Making. You manage a department that consists of about 7 furniture makers. You also perform all the tasks of an all-round furniture maker yourself. The average division of working time is approximately 70% management and 30% cooperation. In this position you get a lot of independence and responsibility. You ensure that the elements that arrive are processed correctly. During the day you provide the team with tools to follow our standards. You challenge them to surpass or improve. Of course within the set time and quality standards.


We are looking for an all-round furniture maker or team leader. Someone who, in addition to being an all-round furniture maker, is also a substantive coach and source of information for the team. You know how to motivate and empower people. In addition to the daily work, you are continuously looking at how the team works even better and more efficiently. For example: how can you organize the (production) process more optimally? You are accessible, creative and hands-on. You can work well together and continue to communicate at all times.


  • You have experience as a furniture maker or team leader, which means you can work independently and the different (hand) tools and types of wood hold no secrets for you;
  • You are able to set the right priorities? You divide the work within the team according to capacity (time and quality).


The construction of a superyacht obviously does not take place in one place. Construction takes an average of three years in total; from design to delivery. The client is a specialist in Dutch interior construction and is responsible for the luxurious interiors in a yacht or ship. The client's interiors have international allure! The luxury furniture is custom-made in Moordrecht and then built into the yacht at the finishing yard in Aalsmeer or Makkum. The yachts are between 50 and 120 meters and about four to five yachts are delivered annually.
