Job description

As a work planner, you are the spider in the web of production around the glass and insulation of the yachts under construction at the shipyard. You ensure that the projects are prepared properly and within the desired timeframe. From your position you try to bring the cooperation with the various departments to a higher level.

You are responsible for making and collecting information about materials and parts for production, around the glass and insulation of the yachts under construction at the yard. You specify and quantify required materials. For production, you compile order folders with required information such as drawings and specifications. You work out projects using detail drawings and sketches to support production.

You seek connection with the relevant departments such as Engineering, Purchasing and Production. You ensure that the projects are prepared properly and within the desired time frame. From your position you try to bring the cooperation with the various departments to a higher level.

Approximately one third to half of your time is spent on the glass process. The remaining time your work consists of work preparation in the field of insulation, analyzing challenges on board, internal consultation and communication with production.

Other work consists of:

  • Collecting detail drawings and figuring out material requirements;
  • Resolving information issues from production regarding material specifications and/or deliveries.

Requirements

As a work planner, you are able to identify the wishes and needs of production and translate them into concrete actions. You oversee the consequences and are therefore able to maintain contact with various parties and communicate pleasantly. In addition, we are looking for someone who is capable of drawing and measuring independently.

Furthermore, you have the following characteristics:

  • Diploma at Intermediate level 4, preferably in the direction of Maritime Engineering, Construction or from the HMC;
  • Good administrative background;
  • Work out drawings in 2D and 3D (Autocad and Rhino);
  • Experience with the Office package and experience with ERP systems;
  • Flexible and stress resistant;
  • Good command of Dutch and English is a must, Italian and/or German is a plus;
  • You look for solutions and are self-reliant.
