Job description
As a Service & Commissioning Engineer, you will independently handle commissioning, service, and maintenance of electrical installations aboard ships.
You will troubleshoot issues with sensors, cabling, system cabinets, and other components by repairing, adjusting, or replacing parts as needed.
You are encouraged to share your ideas when challenges arise, and you will document your work in detailed service reports.
In addition, you will commission newly delivered systems, including battery systems, hybrid installations (EMS), hoisting equipment, and propulsion systems.
Your work will involve Power Management (PMS and drives) and Automation (AMS) systems, testing cables, sensors, and systems, diagnosing faults, and ensuring they are resolved.
Because ships can be located anywhere in the world, you must be ready to travel at short notice to get clients back on track. The majority of assignments will be based in the Hamburg area.
